In 1991 the Soviet Union was abolished. Because of the liquidating of the USSR, the exclusive manufacturer and supplier of navigation echo-sounders was left in independent Republic of Moldova. To solve this issue, leading engineering specialists have founded JSC “SPC Promelectronica” in 1993.

JSC “SPC Promelectronica” has developed the first Russian navigation echo-sounder NEL-20K. This echo-sounder has been successfully tested and approved by Russian Sea Register in 1994.

In 1999 navigation echo-sounder NEL-20K was approved by Russian NAVY, since 2000 NEL-20K has being installed onboard the new and modernized ships in Russia and other countries (India, China, Vietnam, Algeria, etc.).

Today navigation echo-sounder NEL-20K is presented as unified echo-sound system. Under request JSC “SPC Promelectronica” supplies different versions of NEL-20K for all types of vessels and ships.

JSC “SPC Promelectronica” also produces different types of marine computers, ECDIS, automatic bottom stations, hydrographic equipment, water environment monitoring system.

JSC “SPC Promelectronica” has all necessary license and certificates for developing, manufacturing and repairing of military equipment.

Another field of activity is supplying spare parts for naval equipment produced in USSR.

All products are manufactured according to the Russian state standards and tested in special laboratories. Production process is approved by ISO 9001:2008, GOST P ISO 3001-2008. Production of military equipment is beyond the control of the MOD representative.
